Now that Gretchen Rossi has had some distance from "The Real Housewives of Orange County," it seems that she's more willing to be more critical of the show. In an interview with RumorFix, posted on Friday, May 30, Gretchen said that she believes the show portrayed her and her fiance Slade Smiley in a false light a lot of times.
Gretchen was asked if she and Slade will be showing their wedding on TV. Gretchen revealed that while they've already been asked a few times to have a TV wedding, she's not sure if they'll go through with it.
As for why, her experience on "The Real Housewives of Orange County" is to blame. She said that she feels "like a lot of Slade’s and [her] reality was manipulated when [they] were on 'Housewives'" and because she "just do[esn't] want [her] special day to be ruined," she has to really think about filming and airing the wedding. Perhaps Gretchen will say yes to a TV wedding if she's given more control over the editing process and final product?
Or perhaps instead of Bravo, Gretchen would be more willing to do a TV wedding with network WE tv? She and Slade are currently starring in WE tv's "Marriage Bootcamp: Reality Stars," which premiered on Friday, May 30, and also stars Trista and Ryan Sutter, Jenni “JWoww” Farley and Roger Mathews, Traci Braxton and Kevin Surratt, and Tanisha Thomas and Clive Muir. Of course, after the final episode of "Marriage Bootcamp: Reality Stars" ends, Gretchen may decide that she's not happy with how she and Slade were portrayed on that show either.
At least Gretchen Rossi doesn't seem to be having a problem with her current co-stars so far. Gretchen live tweeted as the premiere episode aired and when a fan tweeted about Tanisha's comment that Gretchen is pretty much Barbie, Gretchen replied that it's okay and that she takes it all in stride.
