It's almost worth the emotional trauma caused by Miley Cyrus' VMA performance when you can wake up and get rewarded with something as awkwardly delightful as Gretchen Carlson attempting to twerk.
This morning, the "Fox & Friends" anchor got down and dirty and, frankly, managed to make twerking even more unappetizing than it currently is. Egged on by guest Robert Davi (a guy you'd totally recognize from his time playing jerks in movies like "Goonies" and "Die Hard"), Carlson and the actor stand front and center …
It doesn't get palatable from there. While the morning host (thankfully) doesn't get quite as enthusiastic as all this, she certainly gets too close for comfort.
There is a bright side to all this (besides watching Carlson make a fool of herself). Gossip rag TMZ has, in the wake of this travesty, pronounced twerking officially dead. If we've come to a point where our parents and grandparents not only know what twerking is, but are comfortable doing it in public, we have to wholeheartedly agree. The fad is over.
It's about time.
