Falling Skies returns to TNT next summer with season 2, and the Falling Skies Examiner was fortunate enough to be one of the social influencers and fans invited to pay a visit to the set. On that visit, some spoilers were spilled about what's coming, but while everything can't be revealed, there are some teasers that can be.
Falling Skies season 2 premiere title revealed
On the Skitter unit set, in addition to seeing some of what's coming up, director and executive producer Greg Beeman did tease what fans should expect when season 2 does air:
"Whatever happens, it's not pretty."
Beeman does love to spill spoilers, but there's only so much that can be revealed right now. However, the Falling Skies Examiner can say that based on what was going on on set, that's definitely true. It's a darker season. This show was already pretty dark—after all, it's about the aftermath of an alien invasion.
Just think about how season 1 ended. The 2nd Mass suffered major losses when they tried to take down the alien structure, and Weaver watched as Tom joined a harnessed Karen and the overlord alien on the spaceship. Where else but "not pretty" could the series go? What will Tom find out from his experience with the aliens? What will happen next with the skitters? What about whatever's going on with Ben? The season 1 finale showed that there are definitely changes coming for those harnessed; what do you think will happen next there?
