Greenville County Animal Care Services will be having a vaccine clinic this week at their 328 Furman Hall Road location, their Facebook page reported.
The vaccine clinic will be held from 9am-3pm on Friday, October 4. Rabies and distemper vaccines will be available for only $2 each.
Testing for heartworms in dogs will be $8, and micro-chipping your pet can be done for only $10.
This is a major savings to pet owners, and is just one of the many courtesy events held to assist dog and cat owners financially to help with the cost of caring for a pet.
The shelter asks that all dogs be on a leash, and cats be brought in a carrier. Please be sure to do this, as many cats and dogs have escaped from mobile clinics because they weren't brought safely for their vaccination.
Flea, tick and heartworm preventative medication will also be available at a discount for those who wish to purchase it. Proof of a negative heartworm test is required if the test isn't done at Greenville County Animal Care Services.
