Plaza Suite and Talloni of Greenville presented a fabulous collection from three of Greenville's best accessories designers last Thursday night, July 29. The boutique at Camperdown Way & Main St. was buzzing with shoppers eager to take home the designers' newest wares.
Melissa Muth and Elizabeth Blanton of Yellow Elm, purveyors of handmade felt fashion, debuted their new fall collection, complete with old favorites and new cutting edge fall designs. Their newly minted catalogue was also on hand to take home so indecisive shoppers could mull on their picks at their leisure.
Some new designs for fall include grey flowers with burgundy trim, soft mossy green headbands adorned with brown ribbon and golden hair clips with handmade fabric buttons. The hair clips, brooches, headbands and purse clips are still the soft, versatile handmade felt fans love, but in updated colors for the fall months. To purchase any of Yellow Elm's accessories, you can buy them at Plaza Suite, online in their Etsy shop here, or at Liz Daly Designs, Salon 864 & Boutique and Bang Salon, all right here in Greenville. Over on the Talloni side of Plaza Suite, the sunny yellow walls give way to soft pink, and shoes adorn the shelves from floor to ceiling. Next to the shoe salon's sitting area were jewelry designer Jessica Hawley Sharp and handbag designer Sally Ferebee.
Ms. Sharp, of Hawleywood Jewelry, had her handmade jewelry thoughtfully displayed on simple white cotton displays, while some necklaces were hung on adorable antique knobs. Jessica likes crafting her jewelry with mostly vintage elements. She brings a modern update to antique jewelry with brightly colored beads, quirky off center brooches, and oversized flowers done in vivid hues. If you missed the show, you can purchase Hawleywood Jewelry at Plaza Suite, or visit Jessica's Etsy shop here. For the latest updates, follow her blog here.
Sally Ferebee was also at the show presenting her handbags. Ms. Ferebee is the owner and president of Sew Few, a hand-sewn boutique bag company. Sally transforms lush fabric remnants and leather into dainty kiss lock chain bags, classy envelope clutches and charming totes. While some of her handbags get topped off with coordinating vintage brooches, all of her purses feature unique fabric lining and are one of a kind. Even with just a few simple silhouettes, Sally's bags run the style gamut from preppy to boho to chic, and are defininte conversation starters. To purchase Sew Few bags, visit Plaza Suite or Sally's online shop here.
