Green Toys Offers Eco Friendly Options for Christmas

As the holiday shopping season takes off in full force, many parents worry about product safety for children's toys. After all, the last few years have seen dozens of product recalls for unsafe levels of toxins in plastics as well as lead pollution in many children's toys. This Christmas, however, they can rest assured that eco-friendly options are available through a company called Green Toys.

Parents are particularly alarmed about BPA, a hardening agent used in plastics. BPA has been linked to cancer as well as brain and behavior problems. Green Toys specializes in childrens' toys which contain BPA-free plastics.

Green Toys makes a variety of toys particularly for babies and toddlers, including blocks, trucks, kitchen and garden toys and others for both boys and girls. The products are green because they are made entirely from recycled milk jugs. Thus far, the company boasts that more than 18 million milk jugs have been turned into useful children's toys.

Green Toys stands by their green claims. They say that every pound of recycled milk jugs saves the energy equivalent of 3,000 AAA batteries and enough electricity to run a laptop for a month or a TV for 3 weeks. Toys can be ordered directly from their website at
