Today, the highly anticipated 3-D Green Lantern, starring Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan and Mark Strong as Sinestro, begins filming on location in New Orleans.
DC Entertainment CCO Geoff Johns made a visit to the set a couple weeks ago while they were rehearsing and raved about both actors, tweeting, “Back from an amazing trip to Green Lantern town a.k.a. New Orleans!! Ryan IS Hal. And Mark Strong is going to be a brilliant Sinestro.”
According to On Location Vacations, Green Lantern will be shooting a bar scene at the Old Point Bar, 545 Patterson Drive, New Orleans during the day through March 17, 2010.
Comicbookmovie.com is reporting that the signage outside of Old Point Bar has been changed to “Broome’s Bar”.
