When the traveling show known as Green Festival comes to the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C. on May 31- June 1, it will be celebrating a milestone. It will be the 10th year that the event dubbed as “the nation’s premier sustainability event” has been presented in the nation’s capital.
If you couldn’t attend last month’s Green Festival in New York, here’s another chance to experience it in the second of five annual venues. Whether held in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco or D.C., there is always something for everyone interested in living a more sustainable and healthy life at Green Festival.
For one thing, it offers the widest selection of products and services to work, play and live green – everything from food, fashion and health and beauty products to energy, construction and design. The Festival’s unique marketplace of more than 300 eco-friendly businesses offers all-natural body care products, organic clothing, Fair Trade gifts, beautiful home renovations made from renewable resources and much more. Exhibitors are companies that have passed the Green America screening process for leadership in social and environmental responsibility and have earned the Green America Seal of Approval.
You’ll also find vegan and vegetarian offerings based on organic, non-GMO and local, artisanal foods. In addition, the Festival features hands-on stages, including Live Art demonstrations, do it yourself workshops, an Eco-Fashion showcase and presentations from a wide variety of renowned guest speakers. Other attractions include education activities for children and families, panel discussions and live music and entertainment.
The festival also provides great networking opportunities for green business owners and entrepreneurs – whether as an exhibitor, a speaker or a casual attendee. For more information about Green Festival Washington D.C. or to register for the event, click here.
