Navy Pier presents the second season of Neighborhoods of the World on Sundays, February 26-April 15, 2012, according to information from Navy Pier. The series of ethnic cultural celebrations honor the diversity of the neighborhoods that make up Chicago. The Greek culture is celebrated on March 4, 2012, with A Greek Journey in the Windy City.
The Greek Journey is produced by Navy Pier in partnership with the Consulate General of Greece and the National Hellenic Museum. Special performances feature the Orpheus Hellenic Folklore Society and the Chicago Hellenic Choir. Be prepared to taste the exquisite cuisines of some of Chicago's most famous Greek restaurants, including: Greek Islands, The Parthenon, Athena, Pegasus, Avli Estiatorio and Taxim.
Neighborhoods of the World is presented on Sunday afternoons, from noon to 5:00 p.m., at the Crystal Gardens at Navy Pier. Admission is free.
The ethnic celebrations can foster understanding of the cultures of neighboring communities. The celebrations include music, dancing, food and more.

The new National Hellenic Museum in Greektown is presenting the exhibit: Gods, Myths and Mortals through September, 2012. The exhibit is an interactive journey through the world of ancient Greece, while learning its impact on the modern world. Components include a 12 foot high Torjan Horse, a Cyclops Cave and a karaoke cave to sing like a Siren.
