Greatest matches in Wrestle Mania history: No.'s 45-41

In this installment of the best matches in Wrestle Mania history, we will examine matches 45-41.

#45, Jack Swagger vs. Christian vs. Matt Hardy vs. Kane vs. Drew McIntyre vs. Kofi Kingston vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. Shelton Benjamin vs. Montel Vontavious Porter vs. Evan Bourne in a Money in the Bank Ladder match—Wrestle Mania 26 (2010)—Phoenix, Arizona

To date, this was the last MITB match to be held at a Wrestle Mania. After a spot fest (including amazing moves from Bourne and Kingston), Swagger was the first to retrieve the briefcase to earn a World Title shot.

#44, World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho vs. Edge—Wrestle Mania 26 (2010)—Phoenix, Arizona

Outside of the main event, this match got the most time on card. A ton of near falls for both men before Jericho got the dirty pin fall victory. After the match, Edge speared Jericho through the ringside barricade.

#43, Intercontinental and European Champion Kurt Angle vs. Chris Benoit vs. Chris Jericho in a Triple Threat two falls match—Wrestle Mania 16 (2000)—Anaheim, California

A very entertaining bout featuring three of the best in ring workers of our era that saw Angle lose both titles without being pinned. Benoit pinned Jericho in the first fall to win the I/C Title while Jericho pinned Benoit in the second fall to win the European strap.

#42, WWE Champion Macho Man Randy Savage vs. Hulk Hogan—Wrestle Mania 5 (1989)—Atlantic City, New Jersey

For it’s time, this was a very well worked match as Savage used his speed and aerial maneuvers while Hogan used his size and strength. Combine that with the ‘Mega-Powers exploding’ storyline and you have a classic ‘Mania match. Hogan gets the pin on Savage and begins his second WWE Title reign.

#41, World Heavyweight Champion Kurt Angle vs. Rey Mysterio vs. Randy Orton in a Triple Threat match—Wrestle Mania 22 (2006)—Chicago, Illinois

For a match that was under ten minutes, these three put on one hell of a match. In the end, Mysterio gets the pin on Orton to win his first World Title as Angle lost the title without being involved with the final decision. This would serve as Angle’s last ‘Mania appearance.
