Over the next few months, I will run through the Top 50 matches in Wrestle Mania history (in my humble opinion) as the 29th edition of the event takes place on Apr. 7, live from MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Today, we look at the match that comes in at No. 8.
#8, The Rock vs. Hulk Hogan—Wrestle Mania 18 (2002)—Toronto, Ontario

Two of the most popular performers in the history of pro wrestling went at it for the first time ever in this one. While the match itself was nothing special (in terms of in ring work), the crowd was absolutely off the charts as Rock (who was the face) got a mixed reaction while Hogan (the heel) was cheered beyond belief. In the end, Rock got the pin fall victory but more importantly, this match led to a Hogan face turn and one last run as WWE Champion (as Hogan defeated Triple H for the title a month following Wrestle Mania).
