Over the next few months, I will run through the Top 50 matches in Wrestle Mania history (in my humble opinion) as the 29th edition of the event takes place on Apr. 7, live from MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Today, we look at the match that comes in at No. 47
#47, World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho vs. Edge—Wrestle Mania 26 (2010)—Phoenix, Arizona
(Ranked the second best match from Wrestle Mania 26)
Edge and Jericho were Tag Team Champions in the summer of 2009 before Edge was put on the shelve with an injury. Edge returned at the 2012 Royal Rumble, eliminated Jericho and won the bout, giving him a World Title match at ‘Mania. A month later, Jericho won the World Heavyweight Championship at the 2010 Elimination Chamber, setting up this bout. It was very entertaining from bell to bell but Jericho got the dirty pin fall to retain. After the match, Edge speared Jericho through the ringside barricade.
