Over the next few months, I will run through the Top 50 matches in Wrestle Mania history (in my humble opinion) as the 29th edition of the event takes place on Apr. 7, live from MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Today, we look at the match that comes in at No. 46
#46, Intercontinental and European Champion Kurt Angle vs. Chris Jericho vs. Chris Benoit in a Triple Threat Two Falls match—Wrestle Mania 16 (2000)—Anaheim, California
(Ranked the second best match from Wrestle Mania 16)
All three men went on to headline Wrestle Mania down the road but all made their ‘Mania debuts in this one. Angle came in as a double champion but left without either title. Benoit pinned Jericho in the first to win the I/C Championship while Jericho got the decision over Benoit in the second fall to win the European strap.
