Over the next few months, I will run through the Top 50 matches in Wrestle Mania history (in my humble opinion) as the 29th edition of the event takes place on Apr. 7, live from MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Today, we look at the match that comes in at No. 41
(Ranked the second best match from Wrestle Mania 28)
While their feud got more intense following ‘Mania, this was a very well worked match with two of the best in-ring workers of the modern era going one on one. The match stared slow but really picked up at the half way point or so with a number of false finishes. After Jericho broke the Anaconda Vice once, the second one was the charm as Punk retains the title via submission, setting up classic rematches for the remainder of the spring between the two.
