Over the next few months, I will run through the Top 50 matches in Wrestle Mania history (in my humble opinion) as the 29th edition of the event takes place on Apr. 7, live from MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Today, we look at the match that comes in at No. 34
#34, The Ultimate Warrior vs. Macho Man Randy Savage in a Loser Retires match—Wrestle Mania 7 (1991)—Orlando, Florida

The backstory was Savage cost Warrior the WWE Championship at the 1991 Royal Rumble after Warrior refused to give Savage a title match. As for the bout, it was the best match had in his WWE career while Savage was amazing as always. Plenty of drama and near falls until Warrior gets the pin. After the match, Sensational Sherri berated Savage only for Miss Elizabeth to come from the crowd and make the save. Savage did retire, for less than a year (as he feuded with Jake Roberts and won a second WWE Championship, beating Ric Flair).
