Over the next few months, I will run through the Top 50 matches in Wrestle Mania history (in my humble opinion) as the 29th edition of the event takes place on Apr. 7, live from MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Today, we look at the match that comes in at No. 29
#29, Shawn Michaels vs. Vince McMahon in a No Holds Barred match —Wrestle Mania 22 (2006)—Chicago, Illinois
(Ranked the second best match from Wrestle Mania 22)
This was Vince McMahon taking a beating for the most part but had a number of nice spots from Shawn Michaels. The Spirit Squad and Shane McMahon both interfered but after an elbow drop from HBK from the top of a 20 foot ladder (with Vince taking it while lying on a table), Michaels put Vince down with Sweet Chin Music. After the match, Vince was stretched out and gave HBK the finger on his way out. Not a technical masterpiece by any means but a very entertaining match with HBK proving why he is Mr. Wrestle Mania.
