Over the next few months, I will run through the Top 50 matches in Wrestle Mania history (in my humble opinion) as the 29th edition of the event takes place on Apr. 7, live from MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Today, we look at the match that comes in at No. 23.
#23, Hulk Hogan vs. Vince McMahon in a Street Fight —Wrestle Mania 19 (2003)—Seattle, Washington
(Ranked the third best match from Wrestle Mania 19)
Seeing two of the most influential figures in the modern era of pro wrestlers was special as Hogan’s ‘career’ was on the line if he lost. This bout was a blood infested brawl from start to finish (which is what you get from this two being in the ring together), which was pretty entertaining. Even after interference from Rowdy Roddy Piper, Hogan picked up thep in fall victory, much to the delight of the crowd in Seattle. Shane McMahon tendered to his father after the bout.
