Over the next few months, I will run through the Top 50 matches in Wrestle Mania history (in my humble opinion) as the 29th edition of the event takes place on Apr. 7, live from MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Today, we look at the match that comes in at No. 16.
#16, WWE Champion Ric Flair vs. Macho Man Randy Savage—Wrestle Mania 8 (1992)—Indianapolis, Indiana

This match had everything a memorable bout should have. Storyline (Flair having doctored pictures of himself and Savage’s wife Elizabeth together), stage (being Wrestle Mania), championship on the line and two of best performers of all time inside the ring. A nice mix of technical wrestling and brawling which ended with Savage rolling up Flair (with a handful of tights) to pick up the win and the WWE Championship. The post-match interview with Flair, Mr. Perfect and Bobby Hennan was priceless as well.
