Organizers of The Great Waterway Classic announced today that the tournament has forged a partnership with the Lennox and Addington County General Hospital Foundation to make it the official local charity for this year’s event.

The ninth tournament on this year's PGA Tour Canada schedule takes place Aug. 18-24 at Loyalist Golf and Country Club in Bath, ON, just outside of Kingston.

"The Great Waterway Classic is delighted to have the chance to work with such a community-minded charitable organization like the Lennox and Addington County General Hospital Foundation," said Brad Parkins, Tournament Director of The Great Waterway Classic. "Funds raised will help the foundation provide key equipment so doctors and nurses can deliver the best patient care possible to those in need in the community they serve."

Funds will be raised in different ways during the week of the event. They include supplementary activities during the Pro-Am, a silent auction and a portion of the gate proceeds.
