Great Wall from 'Legends' to be reprinted in a plainswalk block? (Photos)

Some "Magic: The Gathering" cards are so powerful that they've become format defining tournament staples. They appear in every deck that runs its color, and warp the metagame. Great Wall from "Legends" is[n't] one of them.

Creatures with plainswalk may be blocked as if they did not have this ability.

There's so many "Magic: The Gathering" creatures with plainswalk printed on them that it's difficult to read through all of them on Gatherer, and Great Wall prevents them all from being unblockable.

Just take a look some of the awesome cards from "Magic's" past that Great Wall answers:

As a result of the heavy amount of play these cards see in eternal formats like Vintage, Legacy, and Commander it should come as no surprise that Great Wall's price has skyrocketed. It used to retail for a mere penny until it caught on as the answer of choice to the metagame. These days, the abnormally high demand for the card (combined with its scarcity) has made the secondary market value of Great Wall soar to a whopping MSRP of $0.25 or more at most online "Magic" vendors.

Trivia spotlight:
Did you know that Great Wall makes a cool sound as it hits the spokes of a bike wheel? It can also be used as kindling for a campfire.

In some bizarre alternate universe Richard Garfield went crazy and decided to give every creature in the game plainswalk. Players were forced to choose between not running white at all or main decking four Great Wall to combat all the amazing plainswalking threats. It could happen for real in the next block. You never know, Mark Rosewater did bring back poison as infect. A plainswalk block could be lurking just around the corner.

Even the worst "Magic: The Gathering" cards of all time can have their uses though. You can change plainswalk to swampwalk, mountainwalk, islandwalk, or forestwalk with Magical Hack. As an enchantment Great Wall transforms into a 3/3 creature with an Opalescence on the battlefield, and you'll be able to draw a card when you cast it if you control a Verduran Enchantress.

How will you use Great Wall?
