Cheap Caribbean

There are currently excellent package deals from Atlanta, Georgia to St. Thomas U.S. Virgin Islands. The island of St. Thomas is breathtakingly beautiful and U.S. citizens don't need a passport to travel there. Cheap Caribbean has some of the best package rates that I have found (including airfare)! Here are two examples:

Wyndham Sugar Bay Resort and Spa - USVI St. Thomas

St. Thomas's only true All-Inclusive resort, the Wyndham Sugar Bay Resort is perched upon a mountainside surrounded by breathtaking views of the Caribbean Sea and neighboring islands. The resort features 294 rooms with ample amenities, including: a spa and fitness center, secluded beach, three freshwater pools, various restaurants & lounges and comprehensive schedule of daily activities.

Please note that beginning July 1, 2010, this resort will only offer All-Inclusive rooms. 4 nights All Inclusive with air starts at $659.

The Marriott Frenchmans Reef and Morning Star Beach Resort

This fabulous resort is set atop a bluff overlooking one of the Caribbean's most majestic harbors, Charlotte Amalie. With 479 rooms, Frenchman's Reef is the largest vacation resort in the U.S Virgin Islands and you will not be short of choices for things to do. Choose from 5 restaurants, 6 bars and 3 swimming pools and a half-mile long beach.

Travel: August 29 - October 31, 2010

4 nights starting at $1179.00 $449.00* per person!

*plus applicable tax and fees

Many people go to St. Thomas for the legendary shopping and the wide variety of water sports, activities, beaches, and accommodations. The bustling port of Charlotte Amalie is the main town, while Red Hook sits on the eastern tip. The west end of the island is relatively wild, and hotels and resorts rim the southern and eastern shores.

If you fly to the 32-square-mi (83-square-km) island of St. Thomas, you land at its western end; if you arrive by cruise ship, you come into one of the world's most beautiful harbors. Either way, one of your first sights is the gorgeous town of Charlotte Amalie. To see the island from the water, I highly recommend taking a sailboat or snorkeling trip! The underwater sights are also outstanding.

Also, the fabulous island of St. John is just a 45 minute ferry ride from St. Thomas.. St. John, the smallest of the three United States Virgin Islands, is best known for its dozens of post card perfect white sand beaches, turquoise bays abounding in colorful corals, tropical fish and endless vistas of green velvet hills. Only nine miles long & three miles wide, two thirds of the island is the Virgin Islands National Park. The island's spectacular beaches and pristine forests will remain that way for years to come.  Check out St. Thomas and also nearby St. John isalnd and enjoy your travels!
