Finding quality childcare can be a difficult process. A new service makes it easier by giving parents a place to begin. Great Start CONNECT is an online statewide database of ALL licensed and registered child care and early education programs in Michigan. Families can access this database 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to quickly and conveniently search for and contact child care providers and preschool programs that match their needs including afterschool and early childhood education programs.
Great Start CONNECT also offers parents access to Regional Resources including:
•Information on choosing quality child care
•Child care financial assistance/scholarships
•Lending library of books, cds, puzzles, and other learning materials
•Learning kits
•Additional assistance to find licensed child care
•Financial assistance for improving the child care setting
•Guidance for developing quality improvement plans
•Information about the food program
•Information about challenging behaviors
