To those who keep taking short trips to Westeros. And to those who have dined on salted mutton on the road to The Eerie and have felt the inebriating effects of Volantine liquor with Tyrion, while he explains his views on life. To all those who have been slapped once, twice or even thrice by Cersei for tolerating (or even chuckling at) the arrow dipped in sarcasm and cynisism, Tyrion has flung at her. Good news will arrive this year in the form of a book.
George R.R. Martin has been working on a book that contains all those funny, sarcastic remarks and comments Tyrion has made throughout his journey through the mountains, seas and forests within the Song of Ice and Fire collection.
Tyrion is a witty and cunning dwarf with a quick and sharp tongue. While he can talk his way out of trouble, he will easily talk his way back into it.
Tyrion is a controversial character who is constantly being misunderstood. He belongs to the Lannister family (clearly the villains of the story), but does not share the same views nor does he agree with their treacherous actions. While having his unique view on life, pleasures and war, Tyrion is a standalone character who lives by a different set of rules.
He is definitely an entertaining character; one would love to have over for a Football game or for fight night. On the same token, he is the absolute heart of the argument between one and one’s girlfriend/wife.
George R.R. Martin has captured Tyrion’s views on war, love, food and life and has caged them in a book titled, The Wit and Wisdom of Tyrion Lannister.
Thank you, George, for this snack-in-between-meals, you've put on the dinner table, while we wait impatiently for (and salivate over) The Winds of Winter.
