Great new workout gear can help motivate you to your goal (Video)

We're three weeks into the new year -- how's your resolution going? Need a motivational gift to keep you going? Here are some favorites that we've found:

Flipbelt ($25): Even go for a run with your car keys shoved in the waistband of your shorts? Ever stick a cellphone in your sports bra? Exercising with your stuff can be a pain, but we just discovered the Flipbelt, a comfy tube of tech fabric that you wear around your waist or hips. There are four slits in the tube where you can slide your keys, some cash, your phone and your music player, and everything stays secure and snug. It comes in a variety of colors and basic black and also comes in five sizes.

KettleGuard ($25.95): Fans of kettlebells know how they can sometimes clang against your wrist, especially if you’re not adept at them yet. The Kettleguard is an extra-long reinforced wristband that protects your lower arm from the kettlebell and also gives a little extra stability to your wrist as you workout.

Kitsch hair ties ($9.99 to $13.99 for a pack of five): If your workouts are more spur of the moment and you don’t want to raid your health club’s office for spare rubber bands for your ponytail, then keep a Kitsch hair tie or two on your wrist like a bracelet. They come in a huge variety of colors, textures and patterns (we’re fond of the tie dye), and Kitsch also has a wide variety of headbands ($11.99 to $24.99 for five) to hold the rest of your hair back (the sparkly ones are very cute).

Brooks PureDrifts ($100): This gift is a bit more pricey, but if you're looking for a minimalist-type shoe that works great on the treadmill and the weight room, the PureDrifts are a great choice. Released just last week, the PureDrifts are the newest in the Brooks Pure Project line of running shoes. But we've found that minimalist shoes like the PureDrift are great for all types of cardio and strength training. They take a little getting used to, since your foot gets more of a workout, but that's a good thing in the long run. There’s a nice wide toebox to let your piggies wiggle, and the insole is removable if you want to try a shoe with a zero drop.
