Break out your spats, diamond stick pins, top hats and tails. Great Lakes Theatre is opening up a “speakeasy” on May 11th for your enjoyment and to raise money for their nationally acclaimed mainstage and educational programming that impacts more than 100,000 adults and students each season.
Based on the musical “Guys and Dolls”, the Great Lakes Theater’s 2013 party starts out with hors d’oeuvres and specialty drinks reminiscent of that era. Then it’s “Party Among the Props” as party goers take a grand tour of scenery and props from current and past productions.
Also included in the evening fun is a Guys and Dolls themed dinner created by Marigold Catering as well as a live performance by “Lounge Kitty and her five piece band”. There will also be live and silent auctions that will feature unique items and getaway vacations such as theater trips to San Francisco, Chicago, Washington DC and Denver as well as a unique experience with the Cleveland Indians and gourmet dining in private homes and unique spaces within the Cleveland area.
Guests are encouraged to wear their best 1920’s getups for the party and the location of the “speakeasy” will be a closely guarded secret given only to those who register.
Tickets start at $250 with sponsorships and corporate table (seating for 10) available beginning at $3,000.
