If you’re looking for some fun activities that also sneak in a little bit of education, then the Great Lakes Science Center is just the place to take your family during Spring Break. Flight of the Butterflies

Take an awe-inspiring journey of insect endurance and human perseverance! Witness the remarkable Monarch butterfly migration and meet the scientist who spent 40 years trying to discover where the butterflies disappeared when they flew south for winter.

Experience the story of love, dedication and the remarkable bond between humans and animals. This engaging film features orphaned orangutans and elephants and the extraordinary people who rescue and raise them - saving endangered species one life at a time.

Wildlife Rescue
January 25 – April 27, 2014

Discover an eye-opening, inspiring and wildly interactive exhibition for all ages. Learn about recovery efforts and the people who dedicate their lives to saving animals. Explore the innovative ways used to capture, raise and release endangered species back into the wild. Interact with puppets, costumes and other techniques used to teach young animals essential survival skills. Take a simulated flight on an ultra light to guide young whooping cranes along their first migratory route. Wildlife Rescue is a production of Science North, Sudbury, Ontario, Canada.
