While it's so cold out there it's hard to imagine spending a day relaxing on Lake Michigan, but now is the perfect time to start getting ready for a summer on the Great Lakes.
Last week the Chicago Boat, RV and Outdoors show took place at McCormick Place (January 12th to 16th). This show is just the beginning of several shows throughout the Chicagoland region dedicated to water recreation that take place in January and February.
Other upcoming events in the area include:
Strictly Sail (January 27th to 30th): Located at Navy Pier, this show is dedicated entirely to sail boats and sailing including informative seminars and an extensive list of exhibitors.
Our World Underwater (February 18th to 20th): Located at the Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont this show is dedicated to SCUBA diving. While not focused on diving in the Great Lakes specifically there a lots of vendors who do lead dive expeditions in Lake Michigan and other local dive areas.
