Hardy Wisconsin runners line up at Wisconsin State Fair Park for the Great Lakes Multisport Expo Run on Sunday morning, February 2 in West Allis. The event, tagged as the fourth in the six-race Great Lakes Multisport Winter Run Series, includes a 5K race, a 10K race, and a Kid’s Run.
Online registration closes at midnight on Tuesday, January 28.
Participants who signed up by January 17 will receive custom race bibs and commemorative event shirts, unless they opt to donate the shirt costs to Racers Against Childhood Cancer (RACC). Top runners overall and in various age categories will earn awards. All youngsters in the Kid’s Run receive finishers’ medals.
Registrations may be accepted, if space permits, during pre-race packet pickup and on race day. Packet pickup takes place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, February 1 in the Products Pavilion at Wisconsin State Fair Park. Race-day packet pickup and late registration open at 7 a.m. on February 2.
Post-race refreshments will be provided on-site. Indoor warming facilities are available.
Wisconsin State Fair Park’s new regulations call for $5 parking fees for packet pickup and race day.
Runners and spectators for the Great Lakes Multisport Expo Run are advised to dress for Wisconsin winter weather. Race routes may be slippery, sloppy, or snowy. Waterproof running shoes with good traction are a safe bet.
