“Then the angel said to them, Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people.”(Luke 2:10)
Joy can come at unexpected and expected moments. These are time of laughing, singing, and lots of smiles. Graduations, weddings, and the birth of a baby are occasions when joy is expressed. Many can find joy over the simple things in life like sharing a meal with friends and family. Joy is more than a feeling. It is a state of the mind and heart.
God sent a message to all people. Jesus is the message. He is Christmas. The announcement and the actual birth of Jesus gave joy. God’s joy is to become a part of a believer’s character as fruit of the Holy Spirit. Strength is received when joy is present. Salvation in Jesus Christ has given believers a great joy for eternity.
Challenge: Believer, let the joy of the Lord be expressed through you! This joy will be your strength! Smile and share the message of salvation.
