Pinterest, the online “pin board” that takes the place of printing out ideas and ripping things out of magazines, is a great place to find gardening ideas, whether you want to plant a container garden, try a new plant or build something for your porch or patio. Here are a few garden-specific boards I discovered on a recent visit to Pinterest.
The Thrifty Couple – colorful containers, vegetable gardens, do-it-yourself ideas and more. Great ideas for repurposing household items for the garden and plenty of things you can do on the cheap.
Mom Prepares – pest control methods, how to bring in beneficial insects, composting ideas and getting started with raised beds – including how to build some unique ones.
Camille Gabel – succulents, uses for unique herbs, container and raised beds garden ideas and ideas for gardening with kids.
Mavis from One Hundred Dollars a Month – Mavis’ blog is full of help hints, but she’s especially helpful when it comes to feeding your family off what you grow! She’s a big proponent of raised beds, container gardens and greenhouses, and she provides recipes to help you use your harvest as well.
Kevin Knight – lots of succulents, perennials and vertical gardening ideas, as well as some flower and plant charts to help you with your landscaping.
