The Great Big Texas Home Show arrives this weekend at Cowboys Stadium.
Featuring big name celebrity personalities and some even bigger exhibits, this mother of all home and garden shows is the place to be for aspiring interior designers and budding master gardeners.
Headlining the show is Ty Pennington, home design guru and host of ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. Pennington will make a Main Stage appearance at 2 p.m. on Saturday presenting expert design tips. Ty aficionados can purchase separate tickets to a special VIP event featuring local designer Brad Oldham hosting an interview with Pennington followed by an autograph session with the star.
Other celebrity guests include Jason Cameron of DIY's Man Caves and Desperate Landscapes, Tera Hampton of HGTV's Design Star, Nicole Curtis of DIY Network's Rehab Addict, artist Thomas Kinkade the “painter of light,” and Lorraine Brock, organizing expert and president of Get Organized!
Also on site is a 2500 square foot Idea Home designed and built by Sandlin Home. Visitors can tour the residence to see the latest trends in home design, construction and energy-saving features. Those who love the rustic life can tour a log home courtesy of Pioneer Log Homes of British Columbia.
Just in time for spring, a lush display of flora beckons nature lovers to a 20,000 square foot garden created by master gardeners and designers from the Texas Nursery and Landscape Association and inspired by a variety of musical genres.
