This Saturday, March 2, a recent Tampa tradition, Florida Beer Week, will kick-off with The Florida Brewers Guild's Brewfest 2013 comes to Centennial Park in Ybor City. Taste the best brews from over 40 Florida-based breweries and receive a commemorative glass for just $30.
The Florida Brewers Guild's mission is to to educate the public about the brewing industry in Florida, to promote networking and educational opportunities between brewers, consumers, suppliers and government regulatory agencies, and to continually promote free market access of the Florida brewing industry to the public. Brewfest is their largest fundraiser each year.
Tickets for the event will be available online until tomorrow, Friday, March 1, at Noon or at Tampa Bay Brewing Company until sold out. The event has sold out every year so do not expect to be able to take advantage of last minute tickets at the event.
Entertainment will be provided by The Florida Mountain Boys.
Judging for Best in Show, as well as individual contests for the vast variety of beers present, will take place throughout the day. Last year's Best in Show Award went to Shipyard Emporium.
Pouring will begin promptly at 2 pm and run until 6 pm. For $30, this is a budget-friendly Saturday afternoon not to be missed!
