Some people call it a wonderland for adults.  Others refer to it as the single greatest event in the history of everything.  Most people call it the best $55 you can spend to drink the best beer in the world.  Tickets for the Great American Beer Festival went on sale to the general public today.

As in previous years, the festival will be divided up into four sessions over September 16-18th: evening sessions on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, and one AHA members-only session Saturday afternoon.  Evening sessions start at 5:30pm and end at 10pm promptly.  In my experience, the Thursday and Friday sessions are the best ones to attend if you can get work off for those days.  Fellow attendees are generally more friendly on the Thursday/Friday sessions and lots of beer is still available.  Saturday evening is when most of the special beers are tapped out.

Tickets sold out for the GABF by the beginning of August last year, so make sure you get a head start purchasing your tickets.  If you purchase more than 8 tickets, there's a special discounted group rate you can get.  Over 49,000 people attended last year's event, so make sure you 'hop' to it if you want to partake!

Tickets can be purchased at the GABF website and at various homebrew stores throughout the Denver Metro area.  The Falling Rock Tap House also sells tickets if you feel so inclined.
