Kaylee is barely one-year-old, but the stigma of being a pit bull, no matter how sweet she might be, almost guarantees her a tough struggle to find someone to rescue her from the San Bernardino City Animal Control where overcrowding is a death sentence for even the most beautiful or best behaved dog.
Picked up as a wandering stray pooch on Dec. 21, Kaylee, or A458862, will be available for adoption or rescue on Jan. 3. After that date, there is no guarantee that Kaylee will ever see feel the warmth of a sunny day upon her face again.
The dog's story has been shared over 5,000 times, yet no one has made a commitment for her rescue and safety.
