To ring in 2013 in style, the Animal Care and Control Team is offering tons of adoption specials. Their Bark in the Mew Year promotion is 13 days of 13 adoption specials. Now is a great time to kick off the year by saving a life and getting a new best friend or two. In each featured group, there is an age, size and temperament pet for every household. Many pets were saved just this weekend when white (1/5) and brindle and tortoiseshell (1/6) ACCT residents had their adoption fees waived.
Today (1/7) all animals at ACCT who are gray, blue, silver or any variation thereof are totally free to adopt. There are many different shades of cat and dog ready right now to be taken home for no charge at all. Check out the slideshow for just a sampling and then go to the shelter and take advantage of this great special. See the flyer to the left for the great deals the rest of the 13 days. (Spoiler alert: Tomorrow all tabbies and brindles are free, so if that's your flavor, save the date.)
Adoption hours are 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Adoption details can be found on the ACCT website along with an adoption application. The best way to find the right blue beauty for your home is to go right to the shelter at 111 W.Hunting Park Avenue and bring any dogs in the home to ensure a perfect match. If you need help or have questions, call 267.385.3800 or email adopt@acctphilly.org for more information. Map and directions are here.
