Grasshopper NYC Game Jam March 1-3

Grasshopper is a New York City based game company intending to revolutionize the idea of game lounges. Their touchscreen tabletop technology is a new opportunity for developers and as such, they're looking for developers to come make games for it!

Developers will have their chance this March 1-3 to make their games for it. Grasshopper seems to be attempting to build a small but dedicated grassroots movement. Wouldn't you like to be a part of the next big thing before it gets big?

Unity developers will have the smoothest development experience, although anything running on Windows 7 is doable while requiring low-level involvement to integrate.

Interested developers can see more details and/or sign up here.

You can join the Facebook event: https://www.facebook.com/events/148508335308369/

(Bonus for those looking for a job: Grasshopper NYC is looking for spring/summer interns -- in game design/development (Unity C#) and also in Python, Flash, Arduino etc., and event production. Email ien@grasshoppernyc.com for info and to apply.)

Judges include:

  • Frank Lantz, director of the NYU Game Center
  • Noah Sasso, maker of Sportsfriends game BaraBariBall
  • Matt Parker, IndieCade East Chair
  • Jesse Fuchs, developer of card game Guts of Glory
