Just outside of Dallas Fort Worth is a beautiful place for a family fun weekend getaway. As they will be celebrating their Main Street Days A Craft Brew Experience on May 16 -18th. This year Grapevine will be kicking off the festivities with their Craft Brew & Food Pairing Series beginning May 6th and ending on May 13th, which will feature craft breweries from Texas and Oregon. For four nights chefs and brewmasters will come together to create an amazing beer and culinary experience. Each of the four nights will be hosted by some of Grapevines wonderful restaurants and exceptionally talented chefs who will feature some amazing food and beers, while hosting discussions on the pairings. The first night will kick off with Chill Sports Bar pairing with Windmer Brothers Brewery out of Oregon. Then continue with Gaylord Resort’s Old Hickory Steakhouse and Real Ale Brewing Company on May 8th. Moving to Flips Patio Grill featuring Saint Arnold Brewing on May 12th and finishing on May 13th with Tolberts Restaurant and Franconia Brewery. Each of the chefs will be providing a several course tasting menu and pairing with each of the breweries best brews. This series is leading up to and continuing through the celebration of American Craft Beer Week starting May 12th and Main Street Days starting May 16th . Main Street Days celebrates the American Main Street, which is the heart of any town in America and where business still flourishes today. In Grapevine they will be celebrating with a variety of activities, events, food, beer and wine. Guest will be able to explore Historic Downtown Grapevine, which was once visited by the infamous Bonnie and Clyde. In addition to the downtown stores visitors can shop at many of the artesian booths within the marketplace. If shopping is not ones desire, then there are many other activities that one can enjoy, such as the carnival, live entertainment on multiple stages, a grillin’ competition, Palio’s pizza toss academy and KidCave, which will feature several fun activities for kids including a touch pool from the aquarium and lego building competition sponsored by LegoLand. Wine lovers of the group make sure you check out the Chardonnay and Croquet where visitors can relax and enjoy a glass of chardonnay, while playing a game of croquet or one of the many other traditional games offered. Also check out the many different areas throughout the festival that will be featuring Texas and international wines. Finally for the beer lovers of the group make sure to enjoy the Craft Brew Experience, which will be highlighting 11 different craft breweries around the country who will be sampling over 30 unique brews, demonstrating rare cask tapings, and brewmasters will be giving demonstrations and tap talks.
