This September 28th and 29th, 2013, is the 50th annual Grape Jamboree, in Geneva, Ohio,which is located one mile north of Route 90 at the intersection of routes 20 and 534. The Grape Jamboree, is a celebration of the harvesting of local grapes, where you can taste wine, freshly squeezed grape juice and a variety of other grape products.
Jeff Tanchak, Chief Meteorologist from Cleveland Channel 19, WOIO, he will be the official Grape Jamboree Spokesperson.
A parade, Saturday at 1:30 p.m and Sunday at 2:00 p.m, featuring Miss Grapette and her court. The Grape Jamboree will feature entertainment as well as a grape stomping contest for ages 12 and under, (you must sign up for this event). There will be rides, crafts, food, and other concessions, that will feature many different types of food and refreshments, available in the downtown streets during the Grape Jamboree weekend.
There will be lot's to see and do, a car show, dances from the Old Country, Square Dancing and even a Comedy Juggler and Ventriloquist, an adult Grape Stomping contest, will be held on Sunday, as well as the tractor pull contest, for both girls and boys division and there's a Jr Baby Grapette, Baby Contest: for Newborn's thru 23 months. Bring your baby dressed in their grapeist costume to compete for the title Jr Baby Grapette. There's something for everyone, take the family.
