Grandmother turns tool shed into cozy cabin, gives house to homeless daughter

In an epitome of selflessness, Monica Smith transformed the tiny 8x10 tool shed in her backyard into a cozy little cabin so that she could give her own house to her daughter and five grandchildren who had recently lost their home.

An article published by Viral Nova on Friday, Jan. 17, 2014 revealed that friends and family thought Smith was crazy and laughed at her idea, but it turns out that the transformed tool shed is the perfect cozy little cabin for one, complete with all the amenities of a conventional home.

The cabin features a full kitchen, complete with cupboard space, a dining area with seating for two and a living room complete with couch and TV. Up in the loft, there’s a bedroom with a bed, built-in closet and a table.

And to top all of that off, Smith did all of the work herself, with only occasional assistance from her children and grandchildren. She’s still working on completing the outside, but the inside is already adorable just as it stands. (See pictures here.)

Smith will live in the cozy cabin, turning over her two-bedroom home to her daughter and her five children.
