There's new Grand Theft Auto V release date rumors for the game expected to be out for U.S. gamers on Sept. 17. Apparently, an early copy of the GTA 5 soundtrack has leaked online, providing eager gamers a way to hear the sounds they'll be listening to while navigating the new game and the various missions. Also, a new trailer video is coming this week for fans to enjoy.
As reported at the Polygon on Aug. 26, a track list was assembled by website The Verge of the various leaked songs that will appear on different radio stations available in the game. It's believed the songs were obtained through preloaded files of the game on the Sony and Microsoft online stories. Certain individuals in Europe had access to various media content as part of a digital pre-order of the game, but Sony has since pulled the file down, also issuing an apology.
Sony noted in their statement:
"We sincerely apologize to Rockstar and GTA fans across the world who were exposed to the spoiler content," Shuman wrote. "GTA 5 is one of the most highly anticipated games of the year with a very passionate following, and we're looking forward to a historic launch on September 17."
Among the tracks that will apparently appear on GTA V are several West Coast rap songs including hits by 2Pac, NWS, Dr. Dre. Snoop Dogg and Ice Cube. There's also music by Foreigner, The Cult, Steve Miller Band, Rick James, Doobie Brothers, Circle Jerks, Youth Brigade, Britney Spears, Kelly Rowland, Pet Shop Boys, Waylon Jennings and many more. Of particular interest to some hip hop fans may be new previously-unreleased songs by A$AP Rocky, Gangrene, Future, BJ the Chicago Kid and several other acts.
There's a Reddit forum currently listing out all of the known tracks as well as some questions on newer songs. The Grand Theft Auto V game is scheduled for a release date of Sept. 17 in the United States for Sony PS3 and Xbox 360.
