Usually these kind of trailers would be called a "launch trailer but since GTA V isn't releasing until Sept. 17, "official trailer" more than suffices as it sets the plot.
The game returns players to the fictional city of Los Santos in the biggest world that Rockstar Games has created yet. Grand Theft Auto V tells the tale of Michael, a retired bank robber, who is running out of patience and money with his ritzy lifestyle. He aims to get back into the game and enlists help from his old pal and current maniacal drug dealer, Trevor, as well as recruiting some new blood with the repo man and gangster, Franklin.
While GTA V is releasing in September, the Grand Theft Auto Online multiplayer component will not be released until Oct. 1. According to Rockstar Games, this is so that players can get use to the gameplay mechanics and large open world of Los Santos before jumping online with friends.
