'Grand Theft Auto V' hitting shelves September 17

'Grand Theft Auto V', the latest installment in what has become an iconic gaming franchise, will hit shelves September 17, 2013, according to Rockstar Games.

Rockstare Games initially planned on releasing the game in the spring, however recent silence with regard to this led many to believe we would see the date pushed back. Rockstar advised in the release that this was to allow for "additional development time".

With the interwoven stories of three protagonists, a first for a 'Grand Theft Auto' title, and the "deepest, most beautiful and most immersive world yet" according to Rockstar found Sam Houser, it seems wise for the company to allow the development process to fully mature before releasing the game.
