Grand Theft Auto V gets a release date

Most of the time when gamers hear that a certain game has been delayed moans and groans can be heard miles away. On the other hand when a game is as high profiled as Grand Theft Auto V gamers would rather the delay. No one wants to receive a game that has been touted as a possible Game of the Year candidate only to find bugs and glitches galore. Rockstar has announced that Grand Theft Auto V will be released on September 17th 2013.

Originally the game was scheduled to be released much earlier, in the spring of 2013 to be exact. Rockstar claimed that the delay was necessary in order to polish up the game to their standards. The Rockstar statement reads, "We know this is about four months later than originally planned and we know that this short delay will come as a disappointment to many of you, but, trust us, it will be worth the extra time. GTAV is a massively ambitious and complex game and it simply needs a little more polish to be of the standard we and, more importantly, you require.”

Rockstar is a company that has the full respect of gamers after the first four Grand Theft Autos, and the incredible Red Dead Redemption, with the delay obviously not being planned then one must believe that Rockstar is making the right decision.
