'Grand Theft Auto' PC games are just a couple of bucks to download at Amazon

If you’re a PC gamer interested in “Grand Theft Auto,” Amazon kicked off a new slate of digital deals for the week of Sunday, June 1 that’s just for you. The online retailer most of the series from “GTA III” to “San Andreas” through “GTA IV” and it’s expansion available for just a few dollars.

The cheapest of the lot available is “Grand Theft Auto III” and “Grand Theft Auto City.” Both games are available for $2.50 each but you can also pick up “Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas” for $3.75. Meanwhile, “Grand Theft Auto IV” and “Episodes from Liberty City” are both $5 each. However, you’re better off picking up “Grand Theft Auto IV: Complete” at $6 as it contains both the full game and “Episodes from Liberty City.”

A “Grand Theft Auto Trilogy Pack” is also listed as part of the game deals but it was not discounted at the time this article was posted. It includes “Grand Theft Auto III,” “Vice City” and “San Andreas.” We’ll give an update on when the price changes.

If you’re more interested in other titles from Rockstar Games, the Rockstar Classic Collection is available for $19.54. It packs together “Bull: Scholarship Edition,” “L.A. Noire,” “Manhunt” and “Max Payne 3” with the standard edition of “Grand Theft Auto IV.”

Purchasing and download each of these games comes with different DRM requirements. Some will come with a key that can be redeemed on Steam while others will be a straight download. Still others may have the option between a Steam and a direct download.

If you’re more interested in retail console and PC deals, Amazon has just a handful available this week. “The Elder Scrolls Online” receives the biggest discount at 50 percent off and can be had for $29.99. Meanwhile, “Halo 4: Game of the Year Edition” is $29.99 and “Saint Row IV” for the PS3 and Xbox 360 is $19.99.
