A post on the Rockstar Games' "Newswire" confirms the addition of content creator tools and a new "Capture" mode in the weeks to come as well as details on what to look forward to in 2014.
According to a December 9 news update, this coming week sees the arrival of tools to create "Deathmatch" and "Race" missions in the online multiplayer for "Grand Theft Auto V." The tools, which are currently in beta state, allow players to customize jobs for the game modes "Deathmatch," "Team Deathmatch," "Race," "GTA Race," and "Rally Race." Developer Rockstar North plans to review community content "to recognize and distinguish them as Rockstar Verified Jobs, shared out to the entire GTA Online community."
In addition to content tools, Rockstar also announced their variant on the classic "Capture the Flag" game type may be coming to the game in the next few weeks. The official description details the mode as "a proper GTA twist on classic capture the flag," states that it "brings territory infiltration and a new form of team-versus-team treachery into GTA Online," and encourages readers to return for more information next week.
Finally, the article gives a glimpse into the future of "Grand Theft Auto Online" and "Grand Theft Auto V" by announcing that both online co-operative heists and story mode updates will be coming in 2014 with story mode receiving "substantial additions" that will continue the "action, mayhem and unexpected adventures" of the game's protagonists.
