Grand Junction Weekend Activites

It’s Friday once again and from pool tournaments to live events Grand Junction has a lot to offer this weekend. First on the list is the reopening of the Ale House. After a 4 day closure the Ale House opens it’s doors once again to welcome the thirsty patrons of the Grand Valley. Other things going on around the valley include live music events, wine tasting and of course the ever popular karaoke. When you’re out on the town this weekend please drink responsibility and if need be please call a friend, taxi, or DD and never drive drunk.
Events for tonight January 22, 2010:
The Brass Rail on 28 Road is have a nine-ball pool tournament starts at 9pm and will cost $10 to enter, if you have any questions give them a call at 241-8686
Palisade Brewery will be holding it’s Acoustic Fridays featuring local singer/songwriters, its free to listen and will start around 6 and run until 8. They are located at 200 Peach Ave in Palisade and if you get lost you can give them a call at 464-7257

Master guitarist and songwriter John Scott Schultz will be performing tonight at Coffee Mugger on Main Street. Free to listen and starts at 8:30, if you have any questions Coffee Muggers can be reached at 241-1968

Tonight at Mesa Theatre Great American Taxi will be playing. This is an 18 and over show and the sky bar will available for those old enough. Show starts at 9 but the doors are open at 8. Admission is only $12 at the door. Mesa threat is located on Main Street and can be reached at 241-1717

There is a free wine tasting going today and tomorrow at Crossroads Wine and Spirits. Come in from 1-6 and taste some wine. Crossroads is located at 611 24 Road and can be reached at 257-1557.

Events for Saturday January 22, 2010:
Mesa Country Fairgrounds welcomes Warrior Freestyle-Sled vs. Dirt bikes. X-games silver medalist Sam Rogers and friends will putting on a freestyle show sure to impress. Tickets at the gate will be $15 for adults and $12 for the kiddos. The show starts at 6:30 and runs until 9:30.

Mesa Theater will be hold a Sublime Tribute with the band L.B.C. it is an all ages show and will cost $15 to get in the doors. Both bars will be open and the doors open at 8 show starts at 9.

For those of you interested in DJ’s and dancing head out to the End Zone in Fruita. Located at 152 Mesa and you will want to show up at 9. If you have any questions give them a call at 858-0701.

If you didn’t get enough pool from the night before the Brass Rail will be holding an eight-ball tournament. Same place and time so don’t be late.

The Wagon Wheel Restaurant will be holding it’s New Star Karaoke, so if you have a set of pipes on you head out to 10900 Colorado Hwy 65, and if you’re not sure where that is call them at 268-5220 and get directions. The fun starts at 9.
