Sony announced Monday that a new ride is being added to "Gran Turismo 5" in the form of the recently announced 2014 Corvette Stingray. The new sports car will be available Tuesday as a free download on the Playstation Store.
The Corvette Stingray is capable of producing an estimated 450 horsepower and 450 ft. lbs. of torque and it can go from 0 mph to 60 mph in less than four seconds. Racetrack huggers will also be pleased to know that the sports can achieve more than 1g in cornering grip. Meanwhile, tree huggers can cheer that this will be the most fuel-efficient Corvette yet, exceeding the EPA-estimated 26 MPG of the current model.
According to the Playstation Blog, every detail received the utmost attention including the shift schedule on the 7-speed manual transmission.
The Corvette Stingray was officially announced at the L.A. Auto Show last November and fully unveiled at the North American International Auto Show yesterday.
