The 2014 Corvette Stingray, unveiled just yesterday at the North American International Auto Show, is currently set to be released tomorrow as a FREE DLC package for Gran Turismo 5. While the vehicle was technically already available in the game under the guise of the Corvette C7 Test Prototype that was released in November 2012, the new in-game footage published on the PlayStation Blog delivers the true 2014 Stingray in all its V8 glory.
Team leader Kazunori Yamauchi, who oversaw the collaboration between Polyphony Digital and General Motors, stated that "the Polyphony team has had an unforgettable experience getting to know the Corvette Stingray, inside and out, and bringing it into Gran Turismo 5. We’re excited to share our experience with fans and let them feel, explore and drive the Corvette in a way that wasn’t possible until now."
The 2014 Corvette Stingray will be available to download for FREE from the PlayStation Store on the January 15th.
