Tonight starting at 8pm, WCBS will air the music industry's biggest night, THE 54TH ANNUAL GRAMMY AWARDS from the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
It will be a great pot-purri of talent and music tonight. Featured talent includes Adele, who will sing live for the first time since her surgery five months ago; Paul McCartney, the 2012 MusiCares Person of the Year; Alicia Keys and Bonnie Raitt, in a tribute to the late Etta James; Chris Brown, Deadmaus, the Foo Fighters, David Guetta and Lil Wayne in a salute to electronica music; and the Beach Boys, who will reunite after more than two decades of not performing together live, backed up by Maroon 5 and Foster the People.
Kanye West leads the nominations with seven, followed by Adele, the Foo Fighters and Bruno Mars with six, and Lil Wayne and Skrillex with five. (List of key nominations is below)
In the senior awards class, Glen Campbell, is this year’s recipient of the Recording Academy Lifetime Achievement Award. He will perform a medley of his biggest hits with the Band Perry and Blake Shelton.
