Grammys 2012 preview: Nominees and tribute to Whitney Houston

As producers of the 54th Grammy Awards scramble to adjust the show’s schedule to pay tribute to the late Whitney Houston, word is that Jennifer Hudson has been tapped to honor the Grammy winner during tonight’s telecast.  The Grammys will air at 8pm EST on CBS.

The Grammys will also recognize the contributions of Soul Train creator Don Cornelius and blues legend Etta James in addition to the pop music diva Houston.

Fans of R&B and gospel music can look forward to picking the winners among the following categories and nominees:
